“Leading the Wellness Movement in the Private Club" with Nicole Mains
Savvy private club members are demanding expanded amenities beyond traditional golf, tennis, and dining to encompass a broader base of wellness amenities and services. With spa and fitness as the fastest growing segment of the private club industry, clubs must now lead – rather than react to – the charge to build new or renovate its facilities, offer innovating programs and services, and hire qualified staff. Using industry data from Club Benchmarking and Club Intel alongside examples of clubs that have successfully led the wellness charge, this session will provide a road map of how and why your club needs to be on the forefront of the private wellness evolution.
"Practical Strategic Plans and Their Effective Execution: The fitness department’s impact on the club’s strategic plan" with Kevin Hood
Too often, well-intentioned, reasonably organized strategic plans get shelved. The ‘whirlwind’ of daily operations and unanticipated ‘urgent’ challenges derail and distract from the most important, high-leverage activities that ultimately determine success or failure. Ultimately, how does fitness and wellness fit into the strategic discussion? This session will deliver vital processes critical to effectively uncovering your club’s and your department’s most essential strategies. The session will also introduce tactical business implementation systems to ensure strategic plans are effectively supported on a day-to-day basis.
