J. Brent Tartamella, CCM, CCE and General Manager of The Westmoor Club, Nantucket, MA was elected Director for a three-year term of the New England Club Managers Association at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007. He was elected Vice-President for a one-year term at the 2009 Annual Meeting on October 26, 2009 at Blue Hill Country Club.  Mr. Tartamella was elected to a second one-year term as Vice-President at the Annual Meeting at Willowbend Country Club on October 21, 2010 and was then elected President for a one-year term at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011. He was re-elected President for a one-year term at the Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on November 12, 2012.
 
Mr. Tartamella has been serving as the General Manager of The Westmoor Club since 2004. He has also served as Assistant General Manager of the Philadelphia Cricket Club, Manager of Restaurant Operations at the Chevy Chase Club, Clubhouse Manager at Baltimore Country Club and Assistant Manager at The Country Club.

He joined CMAA in 1992 as a Student Member at the University of Massachusetts. He then became a Provisional Member of CMAA in 1995 and achieved his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 1999. At the time Mr. Tartamella was the youngest person to receive the designation. He is a member of the Wine Society, was named to the CMAA Honor Society in 2006 and has been recertified. He achieved the Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation in 2010 . Mr. Tartamella was Education Chairman and served as Wine Society Co-Chair in 2007. He is also a former NECMA Director (1996-1999) as well as a former Director of the Greater Baltimore Chapter and the Philadelphia Club Foundation.

Mr. Tartamella has been a guest speaker at Pennsylvania State University, the University of Massachusetts and Johnson & Wales University. He is also on the Development Committee of the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club.

Francisco A. Ventura, CCM is Club Manager of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, MA and was elected to the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors for a one-year term at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting held at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007. Mr. Ventura also completed a vacated Board position from April through October, 2007. He was subsequently elected to a three year term on October 27, 2008 at the Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club.  He was elected Secretary for a one-year term at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Association at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.  Mr. Ventura was elected to a second one-year term as Secretary at the Annual Meeting at Willowbend Country Club on October 21, 2010 and was then elected Vice-President for a one-year term at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011.

Mr. Ventura has been serving as the Club Manager of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, MA and was previously General Manager at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA.

He joined CMAA in 2003 and has served as Community Relations and Membership Chairman, was Co-Chair of the Tournaments and Outings Committee in 2009 and served as Secretary in 2010 and 2011. Mr. Ventura achieved his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2009.

William J. Roman, Club Manager of Edgartown Yacht Club, Martha’s Vineyard, MA was elected Director for a one-year term of the New England Club Managers Association at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007.  He was then elected to a three year tem on October 27, 2008 at the Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club.  Mr. Roman was elected Secretary for a one-year year term at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011.

Mr. Roman has been serving as Club Manager at Edgartown Yacht Club since 1986 and joined CMAA in 1990. He served as Chairman of the 2007 Inaugural East Coast Yacht Club Symposium and has served as Communications Chair and Membership Chair of the NECMA Board. Mr. Roman is a member of the International Wine Society and received an AOS from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978
.

Ali Mahra, CCM is the Assistant General Manager at Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, MA.  He was formerly the Assistant General Manager/Controller of The University Club of Boston and was elected Treasurer at the 2009 Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.  He was then elected Treasurer for a second one-year term as Treasurer at the Annual Meeting at Willowbend  Country Club on October 21, 2010 and then re-elected for an additional one-year term at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011. 

Mr. Mahra was formerly Executive Controller at the Quechee Club, Quechee, VT and is also a member of HFTP and is an adjunct Professor of Hospitality at Newbury College. 

He has been in the Hospitality Industry for over twenty years and joined CMAA in 2004.  Mr. Mahra achieved his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2010.

New England Club Managers Association

Laura Ryan became associated with the New England Club Managers Association in 2006, as a student, when she received the David Meador Scholarship. She became a member of NECMA in 2010 while working as the Dining Room Manager at Salem Country Club, previously she served as the Dining Room Manager at Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club.  Laura became Managing Director in November 2012.

In her new role, Laura will be able to tie in her experiences in the club, consulting and non-profit industries. Ms. Ryan is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and holds a B.S. in Hospitality Management.

Christopher J. Barron, General Manager of Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington, VT, was appointed to the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors in February, 2012.  He was elected to a two-year term at the Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on November 12, 2012.

He has served as General Manager of Vermont National Country Club since March 2009.  Previously he held the positions of Assistant Manager and Tournament Director.  Prior to Vermont National Chris was an Assistant Golf Professional and Tournament Director at Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, CA.  Chris attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he concentrated in Sports Management.

Chris joined CMAA and NECMA in 2008 and is actively working toward his CCM Certification. He currently chairs Sites and Meetings Committee as well as the Executive Career Services Committee and serves on the Outing Committee.

Jeff S. Isbell, CCM, was elected to a three-year term at the Annual Meeting at Willowbend Country Club on October 21, 2010.

Mr. Isbell is Functions Director at Brae Burn Country Club and has served as Clubhouse Manager at Belmont Country Club, Belmont, MA and Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, NH as well as Dining Room Manager at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, SC. He has been in the Club Industry for eleven years.

Mr. Isbell currently co-chairs the Wine Society, Membership Services and Hospitality/Member Relations Committees.  Mr. Isbell joined CMAA as a Student member in 1999 and became a CMAA Provisional member in 2002.  He achieved his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2007.

Kristen B. LaCount, CCM, Club Manager of The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, MA, was elected to a three-year term as Director at the Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.  She was re-elected to a three-year term as Director at the Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on November 12, 2012. 

Ms. LaCount has been Club Manager for five years and has held management positions at The Country Club for ten years.  Prior to her current position, Ms. LaCount was Communications Director, Assistant Manager and Rounds Chef/Cook. 

She has also served on the NECMA WIne Society, Sponsorship and Education Committees. Kristen currently co-chairs the Sponsorship Committee.  Ms. LaCount joined CMAA in 2004 and achieved her Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2009.  She currently holds positions on the National Chapter/Member Services Committee for CMAA.

Jules Olley, is Clubhouse Manager of the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington,RI and was elected to the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors for a one-year term at the 2012 NECMA Annual Meeting held at Winchester Country Club on November 12th, 2012.

 Mr. Olley hairs from Southport, Merseyside, England. He graduated in Food Service from Southport College of Art & Technology then moved to London, serving at the House of Commons for 5 years, including personal waiter to the then Prime Minister, Margaret  Thatcher.  Mr. Olley moved to Cayman Islands in 1990, continuing in the restaurant business. He set up a non-profit raising $50k for local charities.  Mr. Olley met his wife and moved to Rhode Island in 1994. Spent his first 10 years in the USA working through the ranks of local restaurants, enjoying professional successes while also continuing non-profit endeavors.

Mr. Olley has now called Rhode Island Country Club home for 8 years, of which 6 have been as Clubhouse Manager.  During this time, has hosted the yearly CVS/Caremark Charity Classic, the 111th Women's Amateur and celebrated the Club's 100th anniversary.  He lives in Lincoln, RI with his wife Christine, daughter Alexandra and family pooch Lily Sparkles.

Jules currently chairs the Legislative Affairs and Outings Committees.

David Przybylski, CCM, Clubhouse Manager of Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club, New Durham, NH, was elected Director of the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors for a three-year term at the 2008 Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club on October 27, 2008.  He was re-elected to a three-year tern at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011.

Mr. Przybylski has been Clubhouse Manager at Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club since 2004 and was previously the Assistant Clubhouse Manager at The Country Club, Chestnut Hill, MA. He has been a CMAA member since 2002 and has been in the hospitality industry for sixteen years.  He joined CMAA in 2002 and achieved his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2008. 

Mr. Przybylski has served as the Chair of the Outings Committee. David is currently the Chair of the David Meador Scholarship Committee and the Regional Coordinator for Student Chapters.

Marilyn Sams, CCM has been the General Manager at New Bedford Yacht Club since 2005.  Previously she was the General Manager at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club in Hendersonville, TN from 2002 – 2005, Club Manager at Old Hickory Country Club, Old Hickory, TN, from 1997 – 2002 and was the Clubhouse Manager at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, TN from 1987 - 1997.  Marilyn has worked in the hospitality industry since graduating from Eastern Kentucky University.  She worked with Stouffers Food Service in Philadelphia, PA and owned and operated “Serena’s Restaurant & Catering” in Moorestown, NJ before entering private clubs.

Ms. Sams joined CMAA in 1991, received her Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 1997, recertified in 2005 and has been a member of the Honor Society since 2007.  She also served on the 2007 Inaugural East Coast Yacht Club Symposium Committee. While a member of the Volunteer Chapter in Tennessee she served on the Board as a Regional Director, Vice President and served as President of the chapter in 1999.  Marilyn has also served on the CMAA National By-Laws Committee in 2000 and 2001.  Ms. Sams was elected as a NECMA Director for a two-year term at the Annual Meeting at Nashawtuc Country Club on October 17, 2011. 

Marilyn is currently the chair of the Community Services and Board Policies and Procedures Committees.

David P. Scaer Jr., CCM, CCE is General Manager of the Nashua Country Club in Nashua, NH and was elected to the New England Club Manager Association Board of Director for a three-year term at the Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on November 12, 2012.

Mr. Scaer has served as the General Manager of the Nashua Country Club since 2007. He was also the Food and Beverage Director/Clubhouse Manager from 1991 to 1998. David has also served as the General Manager at the Vesper Country Club in Tyngsboro, MA and the Washtenaw Country Club in Ypsilanti, MI. Mr. Scaer was the Club Manager at the Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen, IN.

He joined the CMAA in 1998 and he achieved the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2002.  in 2012, he was named to the CMAA Honor Society and he achieved the Certified Chief Executive designation the same year. He served on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Valley Chapter as the Indiana Chair in 1999-2000.

He was appointed by the State of New Hampshire to serve on the Lower Merrimack Local Advisory Committee which coordinates business, recreation, agriculture, and conservation communities as well as riparian landowners and local government. Mr. Scaer is also a charter member and secretary/treasurer of the International Wine and Food Society- Nashua Branch.

David Scaer is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management and A.A.S. in Supervision Technology.

David currently co-chairs the Membership Services and Hospitality/Member Relations Committees and serves as chair of the Education & Professional Development and Certification Committees.
