Barry A. Stacer, CCM and Club Manager of Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI was elected 2008 Vice-President of the New England Club Managers Association at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club, Winchester, MA on October 29, 2007 and was re-elected to a second one-year term as Vice-President for the 2009 year at the 2008 NECMA Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club in Boylston, MA on October 27, 2008. He was elected to a one-year term as president at the 2009 Annual Meetng at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.

Mr. Stacer has been serving as Club Manager of Conanicut Yacht Club since 1997. Prior to his current position Mr. Stacer was the General Manager of restaurants in Newport and Narragansett, RI.

He joined CMAA and NECMA in 2001 and began his tenure on the NECMA Board in 2006 with the elections at the 2005 Annual Meeting at Charles River Country Club on October 25, 2005. Mr. Stacer has served as two-term Legislative Chair and Secretary/Treasurer. He achieved his CCM designation in 2008.

J. Brent Tartamella, CCM and General Manager of The Westmoor Club, Nantucket, MA was elected Director for a three-year term of the New England Club Managers Association at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007. He was elected Vice-President for a one-year term at the 2009 Annual Meeting on October 26, 2009 at Blue Hill Country Club.
 
Mr. Tartamella has been serving as the General Manager of The Westmoor Club since 2004. He has also served as Assistant General Manager of the Philadelphia Cricket Club, Manager of Restaurant Operations at the Chevy Chase Club, Clubhouse Manager at Baltimore Country Club and Assistant Manager at The Country Club.

He joined CMAA in 1992 as a Student Member at the University of Massachusetts. He achieved his CCM designation in 1999 and at the time was the youngest person to receive the designation. He is a member of the Wine Society, was named to the CMAA Honor Society in 2006 and has been recertified. Mr. Tartamella was Education Chairman and served as Wine Society Co-Chair in 2007. He is also a former NECMA Director (1996-1999) as well as a former Director of the Greater Baltimore Chapter and the Philadelphia Club Foundation.

Mr. Tartamella has been a guest speaker at Pennsylvania State University, the University of Massachusetts and Johnson & Wales University. He is also on the Development Committee of the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club.

Francisco A. Ventura is Club Manager of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, MA and was elected to the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors for a one-year term at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting held at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007. Mr. Ventura also completed a vacated Board position from April through October, 2007. He was subsequently elected to a three year term on October 27, 2008 at the Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club.  He was elected Secretary for a one-year term at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the Association at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.

Mr. Ventura has been serving as the Club Manager of Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, MA and was previously General Manager at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA.

He joined CMAA in 2003 and has served as Community Relations and Membership Chairman and was Co-Chair of the Tournaments and Outings Committee in 2009. Mr. Ventura achieved his CCM designation in 2009.

Ali Mahra is Assistant General Manager/Controller of The University Club of Boston and was elected Treasurer at the 2009 Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.

Mr. Mahra has been serving at Assistant General Manager/Controller of the University Club of Boston and was formerly Executive Controller at the Quechee Club, Quechee, VT. Mr. Mahra is also a member of HFTP and is an adjunct Professor of Hospitality at Newbury College. 

He has been in the Hospitality Industry for over twenty years and joined in 2004.  Mr. Mahra achieved his CCM in 2010.

New England Club Managers Association

Lee Norton Kelly, Managing Director, became associated with the New England Club Managers Association in 2003.  She was formerly Director of Development at Notre Dame Academy in Worcester MA.

Ms. Kelly has held the position of Director of Education at Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester and also taught elementary grades in Boston.

She brings many years of experience in the not-for-profit sector.  Ms. Kelly is a former Board member and president of the Worcester District Dental Auxiliary and Worcester Women in Development, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Worcester and former Executive Board member, a past treasurer of the American Association of University Women, Worcester Chapter and an Honorary Board member of Audio Journal, Worcester.  She is a current member of the Board of Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester and chairs the Pastoral Council at her parish.

Ms. Kelly is a graduate of Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA and holds an M.Ed. in Elementary Education.

Boyd A. Holk, CCM and General Manager of The University Club of Boston was elected Director of the New England Club Managers Association for a one-year term at the 2006 NECMA Annual Meeting at The International on October 23, 2006. He was subsequently re-elected Director for a three-year term at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007.

Mr. Holk has been General Manager of The University Club of Boston since 2005 and has also served as Clubhouse Manager and Food & Beverage Director at the Quechee Club, Quechee, VT and as Food & Beverage Director at the Lake Placid Club, Lake Placid New York.

Mr. Holk joined CMAA in 2002 and achieved his CCM designation in 2006. He has received recertification for the CCM designation.

He has served as NECMA Executive Career Services Chair for two years and will Chair the 2012 National Assistant Managers Conference which will be held in New England. Mr. Holk is also a member of the International Wine Society and the Professional Club Marketing Association.

Trish Keating is the Food & Beverage/Clubhouse Manager of Nashawtuc Country Club and was elected Director of the New England Club Managers Association for a one-year term at the 2009 Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.

Ms. Keating has been with Nashawtuc Country Club for over twenty years and has a background in many areas of Club operations where her focus is on teamwork and training.  She has also been involved for many years with the Special Olympics Organization.

Ms. Keating joined CMAA in 2005 and currently serves as the Legislative Chair as well as a Co-Chair of the Outings Committee.

Kristen B. LaCount, Clubhouse Manager of The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, MA, was elected to a three-year term as Director at the Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009. 

Ms. LaCount has been Clubhouse Manager for two years and has held management positions at The Country Club for six years.  Prior to her current position Ms. LaCount was Communications Director, Assistant Manager and Rounds Chef/Cook. 

She has also served on the NECMA WIne Society and Sponsorship Committees and joined CMAA in 2004.  Ms. LaCount achieved her CCM designation in 2009.

David Przybylski, CCM, Clubhouse Manager of Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club, New Durham, NH, was elected Director of the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors for a three-year term at the 2008 Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club on October 27, 2008.

Mr. Przybylski has been Clubhouse Manager at Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club since 2004 and was previously the Assistant Clubhouse Manager at The Country Club, Chestnut Hill, MA. He has been a CMAA member since 2002 and has been in the hospitality industry for sixteen years.  He achieved his CCM designation in 2008 and joined CMAA in 2002. 

Mr. Przybylski has served as the Regional Coordinator for Student Chapters and also the Chair of the Outings Committee. He is the Chair of the David Meador Scholarship Committee.

William J. Roman, Club Manager of Edgartown Yacht Club, Martha’s Vineyard, MA was elected Director for a one-year term of the New England Club Managers Association at the 2007 NECMA Annual Meeting at Winchester Country Club on October 29, 2007.  He was then elected to a three year tem on October 27, 2008 at the Annual Meeting at Mount Pleasant Country Club.

Mr. Roman has been serving as Club Manager at Edgartown Yacht Club since 1986 and joined CMAA in 1990. He served as Chairman of the 2007 Inaugural East Coast Yacht Club Symposium and is currently Communications Chair of the NECMA Board. Mr. Roman is a member of the International Wine Society and received an AOS from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978

James Simmons, General Manager of North Andover Country Club in North Andover, MA, was elected to a one-year term as Director at the Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club in October 26, 2009.

He has served as General Manager at North Andover Country Club for six years and in prior years served as Bar Manager, Food and Beverage Service Manager and Clubhouse Manager at Winchester Country Club.  Mr. Simmons has been in the Hospitality industry for sixteen years, with eleven years in the Club industry.  He received his early informal and formal education in Glasgow, Scotland and has worked in London and South Africa.

Mr. Simmons joined CMAA in 2000.

Henry W. Sweren, CCM and Club Manager of Wahconah Country Club in Dalton, MA was appointed to the New England Club Managers Association Board of Directors on January 27, 2009 by President Richard G. Shultz, CCM to fill an unexpired term.  He was elected to a two-year term as Director at the Annual Meeting at Blue Hill Country Club on October 26, 2009.

He has been serving as Club Manager at Wahconah Country Club since January, 2008.  Prior to his current position he served as Clubhouse Manager at Concord Country Club and Nashua Country Club as well as Food and Beverage Director at the Country Club of Pittsfield.  He joined CMAA in 1998.

Mr. Sweren joined CMAA and NECMA in 1998 and achieved his CCM in 2007.  He served as 2008 Wine Society Co-Chair and also as the 2009 NECMA Student Chapter Liaison to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
  He will serve as the 2010 Executive Career Services Chair.
