Clubhouse Manager

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Seamlessly integrated among 235 preserved acres, The Vineyard Golf Club is a traditional Heathland style course, managed using solely organic methods. Originally designed by Donald Steel (the only golf course architect to have advised all the clubs or courses on which the Open Championship has been played) and recently renovated by Gil Hanse, the Vineyard Golf Club is reputed to be the most environmentally sensitive golf courses in the world. The Vineyard Golf lub has achieved a manner that is both equisite and unassuming. The two story clubhouse is set low against the landscape. Softly swaying fescue grass and native plants accent the entry and provide a muted effect that sets off the building's classic architectural features.
From the soaring two story foyer to the wide planked hickory florrs to the 5 well- appointed guest rooms, no detail has been overlooked.  The dining room is comprised of three wood-paneled grill rooms which create an intimate, sophisticated-yet-relaxed environment. Adored by its membership and viewed as a benchmark of excellence in the club community, the Vineyard Golf Club is in a class all its own.
             
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a Clubhouse Manager to work closley with the General Manager/COO; to be directly responsible for all F&B operations; to assist with the day-to-day management of the club as assigned by the General Manager/COO, and to manage the Club in the absence of the GM/COO.

The new Clubhouse Manager will be a highly skilled professional specializing in Food and Beverage service. He/she will be the resident expert on proper service etiquette associated with world class dining.  The Clubhouse Manager must be enthusiastic, positive and a hands-on team player who is organized and reliable.  Must be able to explain and direct teammates with passion and patience.  The new Clubhouse Manager ust have exceptional people skills and exhibit supreme confidence in his/her abilities while remaining humble and honest. The ideal candidate should possess the desire to ascend to the position of General Manager with the private club industry.  The Vineyard Golf Club is an exceptional stepping stone for career advancement.

The Clubhouse Manager position will oversee the F&B Front of the House, Housekeeping, Rooms Division, Locker Rooms and Valet.

CANDIDATES QUALIFICATIONS:
Our ideal candidate will be a reliable, smart, quick, cool under pressure, grounded manager who is focused on details, consistency, member and staff relations and teamwork. This position reports directly to the General Manager/COO, supervising the F&B Floor Manager(s), waitstaff, housekeepers, valet attendents and locker room attendants.  All applicants should be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook in addition to an extremely high proficiency of the JONAS software management system.

Qualified candidates will have previous club and/or hospitality management experience in a high quality private club, restaurant, hotel or resort.  A hospitality management degree is preferred but not required.  An exceptional Food and Beverage pedigree is mandatory.  Candidate must have a professional appearance, strong communication and organizational skills with an engaging personality.
