FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Brae Burn Country Club was founded in 1897 and is located in West Newton, Massachusetts. The Club features 27 holes of golf, formal and informal dining rooms, swimming pool, snack bar, tennis courts, platform tennis courts, and a fitness room. The Club currently has 675 members and is undergoing an extensive renovation to the Clubhouse that will include restaurant and bar renovations. 
 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Brae Burn Country Club is looking for an experienced ‘hands-on’ Sous Chef for a year round club house operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for cooking. The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef and he/she will play an integral part in helping the Executive Chef lead and mentor the kitchen team. Successful candidates will be skilled in controlling food and labor cost, purchasing, banquet production and overall kitchen management. He/she must be flexible and have the willingness to operate in a business that provides both basic fare and fine dining. In addition there is also an element of seasonality to the business that includes a very busy functions business, a pool snack bar, and two member dining areas.
