JOB OPENING TITLE:
The Woodlands Club is a private, member-owned, recreational, athletic and dining club established in 1988 for the social enjoyment of its members. The Club's members enjoy a championship golf course, which has hosted the Ben Hogan/Nike New England Classic. Additional facilities include both indoor and outdoor pools, four outdoor tennis courts in addition to another five year-round indoor courts contained in an air structure, a 5,000 square foot fitness facility, and recently renovated locker rooms and member dining facilities.
The successful candidate will lead an experienced team, be responsible for delivering a consistently high quality product to our members, develop creative menus while meeting targeted food cost, oversee all administrative and operational aspects for the back-of-the-house, and most importantly ensure that Member expectations are exceeded. The chef must have an understanding of the unique challenges faced in the private club environment. He/she must be flexible and have the willingness to operate in a business where member desires can and do vary greatly, from very basic fare to fine dining, quite often at the same time. There is also a very busy functions business, which peaks during the summer season, as well as a seasonal casual dining outlet that serves both the golf course and outdoor pool. Excellent communication skills are a must to effectively leading the team, as well as interacting with other members of the Club’s staff and the membership.
Salary and full benefits will be commensurate with experience.
