JOB OPENING - CHEF - LAKE SUNAPEE YACHT CLUB - SUNAPEE, NH
Founded in 1902 Lake Sunapee Yacht Club is a private member owned seasonal yacht club with 425 members. The club is open from mid-June until Labor Day. Members can schedule private parties a couple of weekends before the club opens and after it closes. The club is a family oriented facility that offers extensive youth programs including swimming, sailing and tennis. Lake Sunapee Yacht Club has a large active Star class racing fleet. Lunch is served from a snack bar seven days a week. Dinner is served 4 nights per week. Each night is a different presentation: Wednesday night – Family Buffet, Friday night – Casual Tavern style menu, Saturday night – upscale dining or member theme parties and Sunday night – Outside BBQ cookout.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a "hands-on" position with the Chef participating in meal preparation, training, scheduling and overseeing, kitchen staff. The Chef will be an exceptional cook with strong culinary skills and experienced in ordering, controlling food and labor costs and effectively using inventory. Candidate will have the ability to create a team oriented work environment. The Chef is responsible for startup and end of season close down. The position runs from the beginning of June until mid-September. The Chef reports to the General Manager. The ideal candidate should have at least ten years experience as a chef or sous chef, preferable some with private clubs. The candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, maintain a high level of sanitation and have the ability to be a good mentor to the staff. Qualities should include a strong work ethic, positive attitude, passion for cooking, enthusiastic about reaching exceptional standards, and able to work well under pressure.
