JOB OPENING TITLE:
Plymouth Country Club built a new clubhouse that opened in 2008. The clubhouse includes a member dining area as well as a lounge overlooking Plymouth harbor. There is also a function room that will handle 150 people for outings, weddings, member events and other social gatherings.
The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the Food and Beverage operation and the general maintenance of the clubhouse facility. The objectives are to ensure Member satisfaction, positive personnel morale, operational efficiency, and implementation of cost controls. The responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a well-respected food and beverage program. The Clubhouse Manager will play a key role in developing and maintaining a close relationship with the membership and helping the service staff to accomplish the same. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the hiring and training of the staff and establish a basic personnel policy, initiate and monitor such policies that relate to personnel actions, and training and professional development programs. The candidate needs the skill to develop an operational team that reflects professionalism and high standards, to delegate responsibility well and maintain tactful and courteous manners in dealing with all members, guests, peers and employees. The candidate will, along with the Board of Directors, develop the budgets under his/her control and be responsible for working within these budgets. Although not a requirement, the candidate should have some culinary background to work with the chef in developing menu items and pricing. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Clubhouse Management experience including financial management and controls and marketing and facilities management. Additionally, the candidate must have knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and basic club management software such as Chef Tec or JONAS. The candidate must also be T.I.P.S. and CPR/First Aid Certified. The Clubhouse Manager will report directly to the House Chair people and the Board of Directors.
The qualified candidate will receive compensation commensurate with experience. Plymouth Country Club recognizes that this position is highly visible and the candidate will be competitively compensated in both salary and benefits.
