JOB OPENING - CHEF / KITCHEN MANAGER - NEW BEDFORD YACHT CLUB - S. DARTMOUTH, MA
NBYC is a seasonal private club with 600 members. Located in South Dartmouth we have over 90 slips, a Fuel Dock, Launch Service, a Junior Sailing Program in the summer and a dining room and bar on the 2nd floor overlooking beautiful Padanaram Harbor. Full Service evening dining from Memorial Day to late September. Snack Shop lunches for 8 weeks during the Jr. Sailing Program. During the shoulder seasons we have a Tavern/Pub Menu every Friday Night plus private events in the fall and spring. Closed from mid December to late January. Re-open for Tavern Nights and occasional private events until mid-May.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience required as a Chef or Sous Chef. Qualified candidate should have experience in menu planning, food prep, inventory controls, food production and ordering. Responsible to hire and train staff, Serve Safe certified, maintain labor and food cost and departmental expenses as they pertain to established budgets. Maintain a high level of sanitation in the kitchen and store rooms and work with all staff to offer a fresh & healthy menu to the members.

JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION:
Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
