MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS - October 21, 2010 - Barry A. Stacer, CCM (Certified Club Manager), Club Manager of Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI was re-elected President of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) at its annual meeting held at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, MA.

CLUB MANAGER OF CONANICUT YACHT CLUB (JAMESTOWN, RI) RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT OF NEW ENGLAND CLUB MANAGERS ASSOCIATION

MASHPEE, MASSACHUSETTS - October 21, 2010 - Barry A. Stacer, CCM (Certified Club Manager), Club Manager of Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI was re-elected President of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) at its annual meeting held at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, MA.

Barry A. Stacer has been serving as the Club Manager of Conanicut Yacht Club in Jamestown, RI since 1997. Prior to the appointment, he managed the restaurants in Newport and Narragansett, RI.

Mr. Stacer joined CMAA and NECMA in 2001 and during his tenure has served on several NECMA committees and was elected as NECMA Director in 2005, Secretary-Treasurer in 2006 , Vice President 2007 and 2008 and President in 2009.

As President, Mr. Stacer will continue with NECMA members to develop and promote high standards of professionalism in private club management, and further uphold the NECMA mission statement: to provide education to persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character, to promote and encourage efficient and successful club management, and to advance friendly relations among its members.
 

The New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America, was established in 1914 and has since been a leader in the advancement of opportunities for private club managers, and foremost, students of the culinary and hospitality industries. NECMA has more than 240 members who manage more than 150 private clubs in the New England area.
