JOB OPENING - DINING ROOM MANAGER - SALEM COUNTRY CLUB - PEABODY, MA
Located north of Boston, established in 1895 in Salem Massachusetts, Designed by Donald Ross, listed as one of Golf Digest's "Top 100 Golf Courses", Salem has hosted four national championships. These include the 1932 USGA Women's Amateur, the 1954 USGA Women's Open, the 1977 USGA Men's Senior Amateur, the 1984 USGA Women's Open, and the 2001 Men's Senior Open Championship. The clubhouse is open 12 months a year with food being service11 months of a year. The club also offers 4 outdoor tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, health club and dining facilities featuring a casual dining room and bar with seating for 150 people, outdoor patio and function rooms for up to 200 people. The club just completed a $2.2 million dining room renovation in 2011.

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
The prospective candidate should have at least one to three years management experience (preferably in a private club setting). The ideal candidate must be able to create and maintain a team oriented working environment with staff and department heads. This position will maintain high visibility with the membership and staff in all areas of the club. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for scheduling, training and recruitment of service staff, assuring a high standard of service and managing budgets. A four year hospitality degree is preferred, but not necessary. Experience with Jonas, publisher and website use is preferred.

JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION:
Compensation is between $38,000 and $42,000 based on experience and qualifications. Other benefits include health and dental insurance, life insurance, std, ltd, 402k with company match after 1 yr, professional dues and fees allowance.
