FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Colonial Country Club is a traditional 75-year old, private and family-oriented club with over 1,500 member families, located three miles from the heart of downtown Fort Worth. The Club offers a legendary golf experience in addition to hosting an annual PGA event each May. Colonial recently renovated its driving range and opened a state-of-the-art teaching facility. There is an active tennis membership with 10 outdoor courts and three indoor courts. Summers are busy when the pool opens (Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend). Multiple dining facilities offer varying meal periods with a range of cuisine styles. Annual Food and Beverage revenues approximate $4 million. The Club is open year-round, six days a week.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Colonial Country Club, a private 1,500-member family country club, located in beautiful Fort Worth, Texas is searching for a Director of Club Operations. This position is responsible for the daily management and operations of the Club to include: Food and Beverage (restaurants, banquets, catering, member events), Facilities, Valet, Locker Rooms, Housekeeping, and Reception. This position will also participate in the hiring and oversee the training and supervision of over 200 service employees during the Crowne Plaza Invitational. This position reports directly to the General Manager and participates as a member of a strong management team. This position supports the General Manager and manages in his/her absence. In a service culture revered for excellence, this position will require the consummate professional, one with a tremendous eye for detail, an overriding sense and appreciation for quality and an extremely strong work ethic. The position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest hospitality standards. The position will be expected to continue to foster a “culture of learning” within an established strong, cohesive team environment. Qualifications: Candidate must have five (5) to ten (10) years hospitality managerial experience. Candidate needs proven record of strong budgetary and operational management skills. Candidate must also have prior experience staffing and training. Previous tournament experience a distinct plus. Education: Preferred candidates will have obtained a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Potential performance bonus based on criteria established by Management. The standard benefits package applies in addition to continued training and education allowance.
