JOB OPENING-GENERAL MANAGER-FAY CLUB- Fitchburg, Massachusetts
The 101 year old member owned Fay Club is a traditional club with a small town atmosphere that occupies a prominent place on Fitchburg's Main Street and is a beautiful, unspoiled example of 19th century architecture, boasting the original slate roof and much original woodwork and other intact features. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. There is a 40 seat Formal Dining Room, Lounge, Reading Room and Card Room on the ground floor as well as a recently renovated 100 seat Main Dining Room, Director's Room, Conference Room and Billiards Room on the upper level, currently enjoyed by its 125 members. An elevator will be added this year to allow easy access to the second floor. The club is open September through June 6 days a week. Annual food and beverage sales total $250,000 a year.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The General Manager should have a minimum of five years management experience in food & beverage operations at a resort, hotel, high-end restaurant, or private club. The candidate must be innovative, passionate, detail-oriented, a great communicator and able to inspire. The candidate should be experienced in training, supervision, budgeting, inventory control, menu preparation, wine & bar operations, proficient with computers and point of sale systems. The ideal candidate will be professional, personable, service-oriented, respectful of members and employees, and energetic. The candidate should hold the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.

COMPENSATION:
Salary will be commensurate with education, training and experience. Benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The Fay Club has had one manager employed in this position in the past 10 years.
