GENERAL MANAGER
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Facility Description: The Boston Yacht Club, located on the Harbor of Marblehead, Ma is a full service Yacht Club with 500 member families. The Club's facilities include a recently renovated dining room and lounge, function facilities, outside dining and bar service. The club offers a strong sailing program, guest rooms, and waterfront facilities along with club docks, launch service, and a strong Club racing and cruising program. The Club hosts many prestigious Sailing events during the year and has a strong reputation as a Sailing venue. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Boston Yacht Club is seeking a highly motivated General Manager with an eye for detail in service techniques, member recognition, point of sale systems, banquet sales and service, employee scheduling and in-service training programs, plus overall facility and staff management. The General Manager must be visible at the appropriate times and insure a management/supervisory presence to insure member and guest satisfaction at all levels in each of the Club venues. The General Manager will report to the Commodore and Board of Trustees. The Club has strong Committee support and they are an integral part of the Club's success. The Club is seeking an individual with the correct mix of entrepreneurial energy and the proven ability to lead an effective organization. The General Manager is expected to have a very firm grasp of financials with the ability to develop and achieve revenue goals. The General Manager is also expected to be pro-active in the area of expense containment, without diminishing levels of member service or product quality. Hospitality or business degree. Previous General Manager experience in the Private Yacht Club is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
The salary is commensurate with experience.$ 70,000 to $ 100,000. pay range. A performance bonus will be developed for the successful candidate. A comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, and 401K package is included.
