FRONT DESK MANAGER
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
500 member private city club located on Beacon Hill with informal and formal member dining, private function rooms and overnight rooms.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The Front Desk Manager is the first impression and point person for all members and guests entering the club. The primary responsibility of the Front Desk Manager is to ensure member service at the front desk is running smoothly at all times. Duties will include: -Handling e-mail and telephone communication -All aspects of hotel operations including booking rooms, check-in, check-out, ensuring confirmation and cancellation procedures are being upheld, room inspection, and resolving any member/ guest concerns -Dining and club event reservations and confirmations -Hiring, training, and staffing the front desk 24 hours a day, 365 days a year -Managing reception staff and ensuring the highest level of customer service is upheld -Orchestrate member communication via e-mail and mailings -Produce and distribute the club's monthly newsletter -Communicate with and keep other departments informed of any imperative information -Manage club committee schedules, communication and materials The ideal candidate for the Front Desk Manager position requires patience and a self confident personality with leadership and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate would be able to make quick and effective decisions and multi-task effectively. This person must be self motivated and able to manage department employees effectively. A Hosptitality Degree degree is preferred as well as prior customer service experience preferably in a hotel or club.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience. This is an ideal entry level management position. Customary benefits including medical and 401k.
