Wampanoag Country Club, is a 400 member private country club in West Hartford, CT.. Members enjoy a traditional Donald Ross Golf Course built in 1924, two swimming pools and several dining rooms. The clubhouse is a bit dated and we are currently upgrading the facility. We host golf outings, weddings, member functions and some corporate events. Dining facilities include a members dining room, a 150 seat ballroom and an outdoor patio with spectacular panoramic vistas overlooking Talcott Mountain.

CONTROLLER – (Part-Time Position Initially)

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Wampanoag Country Club, is a 400 member private country club in West Hartford, CT.. Members enjoy a traditional Donald Ross Golf Course built in 1924, two swimming pools and several dining rooms. The clubhouse is a bit dated and we are currently upgrading the facility. We host golf outings, weddings, member functions and some corporate events. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Wampanoag Country Club is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide support and direction in accounting and financial controls. Experience in the club industry preferred with solid analytical, technical and computer skills required. Responsibilities include: Oversight of all accounting operations including, payroll, A/P, A/R, taxes, billings and inventory. Office Manager handles the payroll, A/P & A/R at this time. Oversee & maintain all accounting & personnel records, responsible for development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information. Monthly analysis of general ledger, prepare monthly trial balance & financial statements including the income statement, balance sheet and statement of changes in financial condition. Will also assist our office manager in administering all employee benefits offered by the club.

Will closely work with General Manager on safeguards for all funds in bank accounts. A qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree in accounting with 5-10 years experience. Previous Country Club experience and knowledge of IBS Software is a plus. Position will start at a part-time position and may lead to full-time down the road.


COMPENSATION:
Dependant on experience. Will initially be a 20 hours/week job.
