DINING ROOM MANAGER
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
The Dedham Country & Polo Club was established in 1910 and is a full-service country club with strong sporting traditions in its 101st year. Features include the only Seth Raynor-designed course in Massachusetts, four indoor and four outdoor clay tennis courts, three platform/paddle tennis courts, two seasonal swimming pools, polo field, trap shooting range and outdoor lighted hockey rink. The clubhouse operates year round for member fine dining and events. The Club is overseen by member volunteers on a Board of Governors and officers that emphasize family participation in all of the club's sporting traditions and fine dining for its 460 members. The Club is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation and expects to reopen in late spring. We are looking for high-energy, customer-focused professionals to join our team:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Job Summary Under general supervision of the Clubhouse Manager, the Clubhouse Dining Room Manager is responsible for managing the staff servicing the Club's dining, beverage and event operations. The Clubhouse Dining Room Manager is an ambassador to membership and others with a thorough understanding of the Club's history, tradition, and commitment to providing a welcoming family environment and a best-in-class quality experience for everyone. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities . Responsible for effective day-to-day management of service staff that supports the Club's food and beverage activities . Recruit and develop a team of individuals to consistently deliver a high level of member satisfaction within budgetary guidelines . Ensure that food and beverage service is operated in accordance with law, Club by-laws and standards . Implement service manual and maintain service standards through wait staff training and education . Utilize goal setting and performance appraisal system to achieve best results for wait staff . Recommend operational changes designed to improve member satisfaction . Partner with the Executive Chef on a la carte and function menu development and presentation . Order and control linen inventory . Direct Lead Bartender on inventory control in beverage . Continuous improvement of Club wine program . Support House committee to achieve its program goals within budget, attending House committee meetings as needed . Work effectively with all departments to support Clubhouse operations and gain the confidence of all constituencies General Qualifications . Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience . Strong restaurant operation background and an expert at managing the wait staffing for a club food and beverage facility . Proven customer service attitude . Competency with technical requirements, including POS system and MS Office skills . Strong written and verbal communication skills . Superior organization skills, proven multi-tasker . Familiarity with financial statement and ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve value . Initiative and high energy . Commitment to quality

40k-50k
