BANQUET MANAGER

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
A Private Country Club located on the North Shore of Boston in Ipswich, MA. Ipswich Country Club is a full service Club open 12 months offering golf, fitness, tennis, and swim with the following food and beverage outlets: private dining room, two banquet rooms, beverage cart, and swim & tennis outlet.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have demonstrated supervisory skills, teaching and motivational skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, promotional skills, a team player, considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employee partners, a friendly and outgoing personality, will maintain a character of professionalism and enthusiasm for the job and for the Club, able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail, ability to handle more than one task at a time, skilled in time management, flexible and able to adjust to change to meet the needs of the Club and the Members, able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times. Position will oversee all member and private events. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, training and scheduling of banquet staff, set-up and breakdown of all events, opening and closing duties, and distribution and collection of event billing. The candidate will also work closely with the Private Events Director (PED) in meeting with clients and administrative work. Hours will be determined by the scheduled events. Peak season is April though December. Prior experience in planning and executing events Hospitality and/or events management college degree is prefered but not required Must have 3-5 years in a supervisoray or management position in food and beverage industry

COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary based on experience
