CONTROLLER

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Full-service country club with over 400 golf and social members. 18 hole Championship golf course, pool, tennis, casual Tavern dining, formal dining, banquet facility

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting and a college degree(BA/BS) -Proficient in Excel and MS Word and a high level of general computer literacy -Excellen communication skills and the ability to multi-task while managing membership issues -Meticulous attention to detail DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -Directs daily financial operations of the club -Prepares operating budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with the General manager, Club Treasurer, and department heads; analyzes financial information, monitors budgeted versus actual expenditures and advises management about variances and their potential causes; recommends corrective actions to help assure that budget goals are met. -Works with the club's external auditors to assure that procedures are consistent with club poilicy -Verifies the taking of monthly inventories for food, beverage & supplies -Prepares or supervises preparation of applicable federal, local and state tax returns -Verifies that all insurance records for club property are properly maintained. -Oversees member billing and collection procedures -Manages, disburses, and reconciles petty cash account -Compiles, approves, and maintains credit applications from club's vendors -Maintains fixed asset ledgers and prepares depreciation schedules for monthly entries -Safeguards all funds in bank accounts; assures that all revenues are properly deposited; supervises the drawing of all checks -Reconciles bank accounts -Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable functions -Prepares any requests for forecasts or analyses as requested by the general manager or Treasurer

COMPENSATION:
50K+ commensurate with experience
