EXECUTIVE CHEF

FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Private club (organized 1866) in Marblehead, Massachusetts. 550 members. Operation includes dining, Gazebo grill, private events, guest rooms and dock services. Closed for three weeks in January. The busiest part of the season is May 15th through October 15th.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly Respected Professional: Affiliation with American Culinary Federation or World Association of Cooks. .Professional certification at a Certified Executive Chef level or higher. College degree in Culinary Arts or in Business Administration. Tenure and development at an Executive Chef level or minimum 5 years experience at Sous Chef level at a quality private golf/country/yacht club, restaurant, hotel or resort Demonstrated Skill Base: Staff recruitment, training, internship programs. Expertise in teaching through independent work study programs internationally or developing apprenticeships. Creativity in marketing membership culinary programs and member communication (website, newsletter). Team oriented with all departments Management: Operational budgets. Knowledge of food costs and gross profit. Knowledge of inventory controls and purchasing methods. Ability to develop specification book for all products and yields. Ability to implement cost efficiencies. Knowledge of sanitation codes and ability to manage proper sanitation conduct within all food operations. Organization of culinary department and ability to maintain strict guidelines for servicing and maintaining equipment. Effective leader that will develop and maintain a professional team aspiring in the culinary field.


COMPENSATION:
Compensation: Full/time year round. Employee of Boston Yacht Club Salary commensurate with candidate qualifications. Total Package $60,000 to $70,000 Status: Exempt To include: Salary, Seasonal Performance Bonus, Medical and Dental (75/25 split),Dues and Educational expenses for professional association, 401K, Disability Insurance program available and 2 weeks vacation in off season
