JOB OPENING-CHEF/LEAD COOK-BEVERLY YACHT CLUB-Marion, MA
Beverly Yacht Club was established in 1872 to foster racing in small boats. The clubhouse on the inner harbor in Marion was acquired in 1957 and has been the home of the club ever since. The purpose of the club is to promote yachting and good fellowship among its members. Beverly is a typical yacht club with 500 members, traditional yacht facilities: dock, launches, moorings and visiting yacht facilities, coupled with a kitchen and bar. The club offers daily dining in the summer months, informal "Pub Nite" dining on Fridays all year and regular special events. The club is host to many sailing events including Buzzard's Bay regatta, the Marion Bermuda race and private parties and weddings. The total Club budget is $1.3 million ($1 million summer) with food service generating $260K and beverage service $125K. There are 45 employees during the summer operation. Club oversight is provided by the Flag Officers and an all volunteer Council of committee heads.
