ALGONQUIN CLUB OF BOSTON, Boston, Massachusetts
CLUB MANAGER
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
Located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay, the Algonquin Club has the same charm and attention to service that made it highly attractive on its opening day in November 1888. The founding members wanted to create a place where family, friends, and associates could gather in the spirit of fellowship to enjoy dining at its finest, in an ambiance unparalleled anywhere in the city. The Club continues its mission today, serving a diverse membership of more than 500 individuals and their families. The six-story Algonquin is one of Boston's most grandiose city clubs, with its massive granite exterior enclosing a large second floor reading room and a formal dining room with 50-foot vaulted ceilings. Additionally, the less formal Grill Room and Marlborough Lounge offer guests a more casual dining experience. A wide array of function rooms accommodates every size event, from an intimate dinner for two to a black-tie gala for 200, and from the cozy, fire-placed Captain's Cabin to the bright, spacious Calvin Coolidge Room overlooking the Commonwealth Avenue mall. The fifth floor offers overnight guest rooms. www.algonquinclub.com
