Vermont National Country Club is a privately owned upscale country club. It offers a championship Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, tennis, swimming and dining to its membership of 300 families in seasonal programs. The Clubhouse has a dining room seating 120 which can expand to hold 175 for functions. The Club also operates a seasonal beverage cart service on the golf course and a snack bar at the pool. The Club is open six days/week during the summer and closed January - March.

EXECUTIVE CHEF


FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
The Executive Chef is hands-on and responsible for all food and pastry production, including that used in banquet functions and other outlets. The Chef develops all menus, purchases all food products, creates specifications and recipes for all menu items. He/she will supervise all foodservice production for the staff of 5-10. He/she will develop and monitor food and labor budgets and be accountable for financial results. The Chef must be able to develop staff members effectively, provide consistently excellent food products, and manage the operation in a cost effective manner.

He/she will also maintain the highest professional sanitation standards, and will report directly to the general manager. Coordinating with the general manager and front of house manager he/she will ensure complete member satisfaction in all aspects of the dining environment. We are looking for a strong leader, great team member with a positive attitude and energy to lead our culinary department. Great working environment with other strong team members waiting for your arrival. Previous experience in managing a staff of 5+ in an upscale food service operation is required. Prior experience working in a private club is a plus. A Culinary Arts degree is preferred and professional references are required.

JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION: 
Dependent upon experience.  10 month schedule.
