GENERAL MANAGER


PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:
The Ridge Club, established 20 years ago, is a gated residential community with 330 members located on Cape Cod. The RC features a championship golf course, expansive practice facility including a fully supplied range, three putting greens, practice bunker and chipping area. We also have superlative dining from elegant to casual settings, two lighted Har Tru tennis courts, and a large, heated swimming pool with adjoining locker facilities. RC operations generate $2.2 million in dues and $1.0 million per year in Food and Beverage.  The Club is open 7 days per week, 12 months per year.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all of the major operations. A significant portion of time will be spent moving about the property, listening to and speaking with guests and employees. Strong leadership and problem solving skills will be used. This person will need to have strong speaking and writing skills for effective communication throughout the club. The majority of time is spent interpreting and analyzing business records, statistical and financial reports. Time will also be spent assisting the sales force in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years Club or comparable Hospitality Management experience in a for profit organization.  A qualified candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong customer service skills,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated operational improvement effectiveness
  • Attention to detail
  • Planning and organizational ability
  • Accounting knowledge

COMPENSATION:
Competitive salary. Other benefits include health and life insurance, 401k, and paid vacation.  The club will pay usual and customary fees associated with interviewing.
