GOLF CLUB OF AVON, Avon, Connecticut CLUBHOUSE MANAGER FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:  Nestled in the scenic Farmington Valley, the Golf Club of Avon is a private golf club providing its members with a full range of family-oriented recreational and social activities. Founded in 1925, the Golf Club of Avon has emerged from a 9-hole golf course to a country club that now provides 27 holes of golf to challenge every golfer's ability, a tennis center featuring eight Har Tru courts, a brand new Aquatics Facility under construction, and three paddle tennis courts. Food and Beverage operations include a Member's Grill that seats 100, a formal Dining Room that seats 40, a banquet room that seats 220, a meeting room that seats 18, and a Pub Bar that seats 76. The Club is open 10.5 months per year.  CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: The Golf Club of Avon is seeking a high energy clubhouse manager with an eye for detail. This position will require effective verbal and written communication with members, senior management team and staff. The clubhouse manager must be well versed in food and beverage controls and systems. The club is seeking a leader to take service to the next level through staff training, programming and services in a professional and cost-effective manner. The candidate should be knowledgeable about revenue increasing strategies and have a passion for wine and beverage knowledge. The responsibilities include oversight of the service staff, dining rooms, bars, snack bars, beverage carts and locker rooms. This position requires a minimum of 2-4 years of leadership experience at a private country club. A proven track record of leadership in casual and fine dining, wine, banquet and party planning. A hospitality degree or similar and on the job experience will be considered. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and an approachable personality. Computer skills and POS literacy is required. JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION: The Salary Range for this position is $56,000-$62,000 plus benefits and bonus.
