Country Club is a private, 700 member-owned golf club offering an 18-hole golf course (Top 100 classic courses in US), Pro Shop and Clubhouse with dining facilities. Located on the shores of Pleasant Bay in Chatham, MA, the club offers spectacular bay vistas and is both well established and financially sound. As a result of a major renovation and expansion of our clubhouse, the addition of a seasonal Assistant F&B Manager to staff is required. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the club’s Clubhouse Manager, the primary responsibilities of this position will be hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising the Wait Staff, Bussers, and Host/esses; assuring membership dining satisfaction; close working relationship with the kitchen; ordering uniforms and server/dining room supplies; coordinating and overseeing special functions to include correspondence, member/kitchen communications, POS entries, and final bill preparation; taking reservations; and host/essing when necessary. The work season for this position will ordinarily be April 1 through mid-November; however, given a late clubhouse opening this year, we anticipate an early to mid-May start. Hours of work will vary on a daily and weekly basis ranging daily from 6 hours to 12 hours and ranging weekly from 30 to 50+ (July and August). Compensation will include a base salary and Holiday Bonus. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: We seek candidates offering a minimum of a high school education, at least 2 years experience in the above supervisory responsibilities, computer competence (Word, Excel and POS), the ability to function independently, and the skills and demeanor to work comfortably and effectively in a team/customer-oriented environment.
