KIRKBRAE COUNTRY CLUB, Lincoln, Rhode Island Director of Sales and Marketing
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION: Kirkbrae Country Club is a year round, private club with 546 memberships. The club is a family oriented, full service facility that features an 18-hole Championship golf course, 4 tennis courts, a recently renovated Olympic-sized swimming pool complex, full locker room services and amenities and a state of the art health facility. In addition, Kirkbrae has a 240 seat member dining room (that includes formal and informal dining areas) and a 480 seat banquet facility. Annual gross revenue exceeds $6.5 million ($2.0 MM in banquet sales, $1MM in member dining).
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: Manages and markets internally and externally the club's banquet and sports facilities for private events, limited golf outings, social meetings and other member and non-member related activities. Responsibilities include all administrative and operational functions associated with such events; including meeting with event hosts, developing contracts, menus, marketing materials and invoices. The Director of Sales and Marketing will report directly to the General Manager and will work closely with the Chef, Clubhouse Manager, Dining Room and Beverage Managers to ensure the success of member and non-member functions and private events.
The position is responsible for planning and implementing all member events in conjunction with senior management and the associated committees. Candidate Qualifications: Highly motivated team player with a track record in sales and event management. Polished written and oral communication skills are a pre-requisite, as are computer skills. Knowledge of POS systems a plus. Strong working knowledge of and passion for, food and beverage operations as well as an eye for detail and an engaging personality are very important. The successful candidate will have the ability to solve problems quickly and calmly, and must possess a strong work ethic and professional demeanor. Hospitality degree a plus.
JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 plus commission. Benefits include medical, dental and life insurance, vacation, 401k pension plan and club related education opportunities. The club will pay usual and customary fees associated with interviewing.
