BEACH CLUB MANAGER


FACILITIES DESCRIPTION:
The Piping Rock Club is a 96 year old, private, member-owned full service country club, located on the North Shore of Long Island. The club is settled in the quaint town of Locust Valley. The club has a membership of 850 members. The club’s recreational facilities include a C.B. Macdonald designed 18 hole golf course, three indoor Hydro tennis courts, 10 outside Har-Tru courts, 14 grass courts and two International croquet courts. The club also features 3 squash courts and one International doubles squash court. The Clubhouse features a Casual Dining Room for 120 people. A Fine Dining Room for 80 people and several smaller rooms for luncheons and private dinners. The club also has a separate Beach Club located seven miles from the Main Club. The beach club is located on Long Island Sound and features a sandy beach area, swimming pool and pool grill for 50 people. The Beach Club also has a Dining Room facility with a capacity of 200 people. The gross dollar volume is 9.7 million dollars with 2.1 million in Food and Beverage operations. The Club is open 6 days a week 12 months a year.


CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Position Description: · The Beach Club Manager position is a key, highly visible position designed to assist the Assistant GM with the daily operations of the Beach Club facility. It is his/her responsibility to oversee proper floor management of both food & beverage outlets to assure a professional dining environment while attending to the needs and request of the membership. In addition to the food & beverage responsibilities, this individual will assure that the presentation of all areas are clean, organized and acceptable for the membership. Qualified individual will monitor the training of wait staff insuring proper table service in conjunction with the use of the club’s POS systems. They will work closely with Catering Coordinator in fulfilling requests of all outside parties while overseeing the set up and expedition of all private member and family night events with the assistance of the entire management team. Candidate Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have an energetic and enthusiastic attitude with a “hands on” service approach. A highly organized and visible individual who is a creative and strategic thinker, who works closely with the staff and can motivate, identify and develop, continued service enhancements. Candidate must a have a minimum of 2 years in a high-end fast paced dining or private club environment specializing in guest/member services. A strong knowledge of culinary arts, wine, service and cost controls. He/She must have experience of POS Systems and a commanding understanding of both Word and Excel software packages. Candidate must enjoy working in a “Family” environment with an ability to exceed member satisfaction. A person with a hospitality degree is preferred. Bilingual is a plus. This an excellent opportunity for and individual to begin a career in the private club industry at one of the “Platinum” Clubs in the United States.


JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION:
Salary and benefits package will include a base salary and bonus commensurate with experience. Housing will be provided on property. This is a seasonal position (May through October) with the potential for year-round opportunity.
