NEW YORK YACHT CLUB HARBOUR COURT, Newport, Rhode Island  DINING ROOM MANAGER FACILITIES DESCRIPTION: 1 Casual Dining Room that seats 60. -1 Outdoor Dining that seats 70. -1 Lounge/Bar that seats 20. -5 Banquet Rooms that seat 310. -2 Separate Buildings for Events that seat 210. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: The Dining Room Manager's primary focus is directed towards running the A La Carte department at Harbour Court. His/her goal will be to ensure the highest standards of quality service throughout the year. This person will handle all Dining Room functions, including hiring, training, disciplining, and supervising the staff, implementing standard operating procedures, controlling the restaurant expenses and increasing revenue, ordering necessary items from vendors, and communicating with the various departments, especially the Kitchen. This person will be the 'face' of both the Casual and Formal Dining Rooms, as the Dining Room Manager will handle all member questions/comments. The Dining Room Manager will report directly to the General Manager. 3-5 years of food service experience. Must have some experience in supervising/managing a staff and the operations of food service. A degree in the hospitality field is preferable but not necessary. Looking for someone with passion for this industry. Must be outgoing, well spoken, and have a positive attitude. Must work well under pressure and be versatile in handling any situation. Attention to detail and concern for member satisfaction are essential. JOB VALUE/COMPENSATION: Salary is based on experience.
