THOMSON COUNTRY CLUB, North Reading, Massachusetts CLUB MANAGER
FACILITIES DESCRIPTION: The Thomson Country Club is a full service member-owned club, with 650 members, established in 1961. Athletic facilities include an 18-hole Cornish-designed course, four tennis courts, three swimming pools, and a men's and women's locker room. The clubhouse dining facilities include a 120 seat dining room, a 65 seat grill room and a 250 seat Ballroom. Additional facilities include a seasonal snack bar for the pool and golf turn. The club is opened 6 days per week during golf season and 4 days per week in the off season.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for all aspects of the clubhouse including its activities and the relationships between the club and the board of directors, members, guests, employees, community, government and industry. Coordinates and administers the club's policies as defined by its Board of Directors. Directs the work of clubhouse staff; implements and monitors the budget; monitors the quality of the club's products and ensures maximum member and guest satisfaction. The manager must be a team leader with outstanding communication, organizational and managerial skills.
Must be personable and outgoing and demonstrate a sincere desire to provide the membership with superior amenities and outstanding service on a consistent basis, while expressing a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and impeccable appearance at all times. He/she shall possess strong marketing skills and must be proficient in Word, Excel and point of sale systems. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in planning, coordinating, and executing private parties for members and guests and works flexible hours as required including nights and weekends.
Candidates shall have a college degree preferably with a major in hospitality or ten years experience in a private club environment with a minimum of five years experience in a country club management role.
COMPENSATION: $50,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
