ABENAQUI COUNTRY CLUB, Rye Beach, New Hampshire GENERAL MANAGER Abenaqui Country Club, Rye Beach, NH Abenaqui Country Club, established in 1903, is located in the seacoast region of New Hampshire. We are a private club available to members and their guests for golf, tennis and social activities. Facilities include a championship 6687 yard, par 72 golf course, three Har-Tru tennis courts and a clubhouse featuring an excellent restaurant, fully stocked lounge and several function rooms. The club currently has approximately 550 members with an annual operating budget of $3.4M, with annual dues and assessments of approximately $2M. Abenaqui is open for golf and tennis from mid-April through October, with limited dining available in the off season. Position: The general manager implements the directives and policies of the board of governors, and is responsible for all club operations, providing strategic and operational oversight including management of day-to-day and long-term finances. The general manager directly supervises club department heads, ensuring the highest standards of service in all areas, and is accountable for member and guest relations. The general manager reports to the board president and works with standing board committees. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in hospitality, as well as five to seven years experience in a management position, and will have a track record as a collaborative leader with strong financial, organizational and communications skills. The CCM designation is preferred.
