NASHUA COUNTRY CLUB, Nashua, New Hampshire
GENERAL MANAGER

The Nashua Country Club is a full service country club established in 1915. The club has 500 voting members and 500 golfing members. The club offers an 18 hole golf course, swimming pool, 4 har-tru tennis courts, curling rink, full clubhouse operations and overnight accommodations. The club has just completed a $1.3 million golf course greens reconstruction project. The club is open 7 days a week 12 months a year. Gross volume dollar is $4.9 million with dues revenues of $2.0 million and food & beverage revenues $1.7 million.

The general manager of the club leads all operations and aspects of the club including grounds, pro shop, pool and clubhouse; Directly supervises the golf course superintendent, golf professional, pool director, food and beverage and clubhouse staff; Develop and coordinate annual operating and capital budgets with the board of governors and department managers; The GM enforces club policies and procedures; develops and implements operating policies and procedures; manages club finances; implements programs within approved budgets; maintains club's assets and limits club's liabilities; ensures high quality club services and maximum member and guest satisfaction; Establish proper quality levels and standards for goods, services and facilities; Reports directly to the president of the board of governors. Attend all meetings of the board of governors and various committees including finance, grounds, house, tennis, pool, curling and golf.

The ideal candidate will have five to 10 years of progressive general management experience at a comparable size club. The candidate must have a proven record of financial and operational management skills. He or she must be able to provide guidance and leadership to the board. He or she must be able to lead a team of department heads and staff toward the goal of being a premier country club. The ideal candidate will be energetic, personable, service-oriented, and responsive to both members and employees needs.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year University in the major field of Hospitality, Recreation Management, Business Administration or closely related field. A Masters degree (MBA) is preferred. Certified Club Manager designation is preferred.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

The club will pay usual and customary fees associated with interviewing. The club will offer an employment contract/agreement to the successful candidate. The club has had 2 managers employed (in this position) in the past ten years.
