AUGUSTA COUNTRY CLUB, Manchester, Maine GENERAL MANAGER The Augusta Country Club is a full service country club established in 1916. This 500 member (300 golf/200 social) private club is seeking a full time general manager to oversee all operations. Challenging 18-hole Donald Ross golf course, 2 Har-Tru tennis courts and a private beach on Lake Cobbosseecontee. Full restaurant service May through December; clubhouse may be open longer. Club oversight provided by Board of Governors with a commitment to providing a high quality country club and golf facility. Total club budget is $2.25 million with non-dues revenues of $1.38 million. The General Manager is ayear round position with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the entire club including the restaurant, pro-shop, golf course, and tennis and beach facilities. Full time direct reports may include golf course superintendent, Head golf professional, restaurant manager and office staff. Responsibilities also include marketing and member relation activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, personable and professional. He or she will have excellent leadership, member relation skills, knowledge of club operation including food and beverage, and some knowledge of golf course maintenance and operation. Strong financial management skills are required. Candidates will demonstrate proven successes in the delivery of high levels of service and attention to detail. Integrity and visibility with strong interpersonal skills are a priority of the membership. The General Manager will be responsible for overall club operations and will report to the Club President and Board of Governors.
