ASSISTANT CLUBHOUSE MANAGER

The Woods Hole Golf Club is a member owned private golf club located in the Village of Woods Hole in the Town of Falmouth on spectacular Cape Cod. The Club was founded in 1899, and currently has 360 members. The Club boasts a recently renovated Clubhouse and some of the most pristine views in all of New England.

The Woods Hole Golf Club currently has an opening for Assistant Clubhouse Manager. Woods Hole Golf Club is set up on the Classic Country Club system. Assistant Clubhouse Manager is second in command in the Clubhouse. There is no General Manager. Job description is as follows:

The Assistant Clubhouse Manager reports directly to the Clubhouse Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Implementation and supervision of all Front of the House activities with an emphasis on impeccable service.
-Visibility. Be visible to the Membership and be open and available to their needs.
-Daily coordination. Supervise entire Dining Room and ensure that all is being accomplished efficiently and to the Members liking.
-Directly responsible for all waitstaff, bar manager, bartenders, and bussers. Ensure that staff is properly trained in accordance with Club Standards.
-Pre-Shift meetings. Coordinate with the Chef and make sure staff is well informed of current issues.
-POS Menu Maintenance and staff check outs. Ensure that computer is up to date and correct, and that staff is responsible for accurate information before it reaches the business office.
-Scheduling. Schedule of all Front of the House Staff on a weekly basis while maintaining excellent service and adhering to budgets.
-Entertainment Coordinator. Schedule all entertainment for a la carte dining.
-Order processes. Supervise bar manager on all beverage purchases. Order linens on a weekly basis.
-Website administration. Update website on a regular basis.
-Event management. Assist Clubhouse Manager in planning, and running large events, i.e. golf tournaments, weddings, etc.
-Long term planning/budgeting. Assist Clubhouse Manager in what the long term needs of the Club may be.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
-A minimum of 5 years of foodservice experience (not necessarily management experience)
-A drive and enthusiasm that you can pass on to the rest of the staff.
-Willingness to learn.
-A desire to do whatever you can to help the Club, the staff and the members succeed.
-Proven responsibility, leadership, and organizational skills.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education. A bonus program; a 401K retirement plan; health, dental, life, and disability insurance; and continuing education including CMAA membership, are all part of the package that will be offered to the successful candidate.
