WANNAMOISETT COUNTRY CLUB, RUMFORD, RI
Located adjacent to the Providence RI, the “Renaissance City”, the club was founded in 1898. Wannamoisett Country Club is a 370 member club rich in social and golf tradition. The club features a Donald Ross designed 18-hole golf course, two clay tennis courts and a pool facility. The club hosts one of the country’s premier amateur golf tournaments, The Northeast Amateur Invitational, every June.
The Clubhouse manager will report to the Board of Governors / President and is responsible for all operations within the clubhouse facility and its adjoining venues. Wannamoisett is seeking a hands-on individual, who excels at member, guest and staff interaction resulting in a high standard of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in food and beverage operations, finance, human resources, marketing and facility management. As a Senior Manager representing the Wannamoisett Country Club and all its members, the chosen candidate will be people-oriented and accessible to both, the membership and its guests.
The Clubhouse Manager is an essential leader for the Wannamoisett Country Club. As one of the three senior club managers, teamwork is essential to insure the seamless presentation of our member services. Dining options include our three member dining rooms seating 100, a seasonal patio with 100 seats and three function rooms seating 30, 50, and 200 respectively. Dining operations are typically closed in January and February. Total clubhouse financial responsibility is at $2.0 million per season. Total food and beverage sales are approximately $1.0 million per season. These numbers do not reflect golfing revenues.

? Hospitality degree from an accredited institution
? Excellent communication skills – listening, written and verbal
? Excellent job tenure with consistent work history
? Ability to monitor and adjust quality standards of product, place and people on a daily basis
? Insuring proper legal / sanitation standards are met and maintained
? Performing employee performance reviews
? Strong ability to plan, organize and direct both club and social events on premise
? Manage staff and managers to achieve a high standard of service and operational excellence
? Providing ongoing training of all employees
? Maintaining an open line of communication with other departmental managers
A hospitality degree from an accredited university is preferred. Certifications demonstrating continued professional development in the areas of Hospitality and Club management are desired.
Previous experience within the club industry is preferred. Candidate should demonstrate previous work responsibilities of an equal or greater level.
