ROCHESTER COUNTRY CLUB, ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE CLUB MANAGER
FACILITIES RCC is an 80 year old member-owned club located in New Hampshire’s seacoast region in a city of 29,000 with rural outskirts. The club has easy access off the Spaulding Turnpike and is situated in close proximately to recreational and cultural centers (Boston 1 hr 20 min, Portsmouth 25 min, ocean 30 min, White Mountains 60 min and Lakes Region 50 min).
The golf course is a private 18 hole layout with the front nine designed in the 1922, back nine in 1962 and is presently undergoing long range renovations. The clubhouse facilities consist of a small efficient kitchen, 72 seat grill room, 125 person function hall, and locker rooms. Dining and functions are open to the public. Golf is normally available from April to November with the clubhouse generally operating 7 days per week during golf season, declining to 5 days per week in the off season (depending on functions).
The club has 385 active members in the individual, family and weekday membership categories. Gross annual revenue is $1.3 million with a dues income of $480,000. The food and beverage gross volume is $460,000 with annual food sales of $275,000. The club presently has an initiation fee of $1,000 and no house minimum spending
QUALIFICATIONS The club manager is responsible for the clubhouse operation and reports to the club president and board of directors. This highly responsible position encompasses a broad range of duties including management of clubhouse staff, restaurant operation, marketing of function hall, billing, receivables, payables, budget control, newsletter, organization of records & policies.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 years club management experience, strong interpersonal skills and be a dedicated team leader. Background must include sound working knowledge of restaurant operations, financial transactions and budget maintenance. Proficiency with computers and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (basics) is essential. Previous experience with Digital Dining software, Microsoft Outlook and CCM designation is a plus.
JOB VALUE Starting salary $50,000 to $55,000 commensurate with previous experience and qualifications. Future salary growth based on performance and cost of living. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, 401K, CMAA membership, vacation plan, in addition to other benefits as negotiated. Club will reimburse candidates’ customary expenses associated with interviewing.
