Twenty-Eighth Annual
New England Club Managers Meador Scholarship Tournament

May 1st, 2013

Dear Purveyor and Vendor:

Each year, the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the Original Chapter of  the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), and its David Meador Foundation (DMF), a 501(c)3 charitable organization, holds the Annual New England Club Managers Meador Scholarship Tournament. The proceeds of the tournament benefit the NECMA David Meador Foundation which awards scholarships to students interested in the Club Management industry and provides educational funding for NECMA Member Managers.

This year the event will celebrate its twenty-eighth year and will be held at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Rhode Island on Tuesday, September 24th, 2013. We cordially invite you to enter a foursome, sponsor a golf hole, or host the cocktail hour,  luncheon, or part of the hors d’oeuvres reception.

One, if not all, of our Member Clubs is a customer of your company and thus, we are asking for your support. We have arranged a top-notch event with great golf, delicious food, cold drinks and beautiful weather! We would like you to play a part in the success of the event and any support you can extend allows us to distribute more scholarship money to students.

Although some vendors simply enjoy a day out with their colleagues, this day is specifically  designed to be a networking opportunity with leaders in our industry. You are welcome to invite a specific Club Manager with whom you would like to play and coordinate your own foursome or we are happy to coordinate a foursome for you that would include participants from your company and Members of the New England Club Managers Association.

The New England Club Managers Association was founded in 1914 and is the only association representing the private club management profession. Our active membership consists of over 230 professional managers/Chief Operating Officers who manage nearly 160 private country, golf, city, university, yacht, athletic, and corporate clubs throughout New England. The Association's objectives are to provide education to persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character, to promote and encourage efficient and successful club management, and to advance friendly relations among its members.

The New England Club Managers David Meador Foundation is a 501(c)3 not for profile corporation founded by the New England Club Managers Association. The general purpose of the Foundation is to foster intellectual excellence in the field of club management by securing
funds from contributions to be used for educational purposes and to assist students seeking an education in the hospitality profession by providing scholarship grants. The Corporation's charitable and educational purposes are to provide educational and training opportunities for club managers and students engaged and employed in the private club and hospitality industry in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

We hope you will join us for a fantastic day at Rhode Island Country Club!

Sincerely,

Outing Chair
Jules Olley
General Manager
