Certification Maintenance Requirement Beginning with the CCM designations earned during the 2000 World Conference on Club Management, all new CCM designations are awarded for a period of five years. Except for those in Retired membership status, CCMs are required to earn at least 120 Certification credits during the five-year period following their CCM date to maintain their CCM designations. At least half of the 120 credits must be CMAA Education (CMI and Chapter Education) credits. CCMs meeting these requirements will have maintained the designation for another five-year period. Credits earned since the September 1998 CMAA Leadership/Legislative Conference will be counted toward the initial CMR for members who attained their CCM prior to February 20, 2000.
